Overview OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: To work as a member of a team performing all Spa services at the highest level including: massages and body treatments in a safe and professional manner on our guests. The Spa Therapist will report directly to the Spa Supervisors and Spa Manager. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform all Spa services in a safe and professional manner in accordance to both the Spa Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety guidelines. To maintain an ample inventory of products and equipment necessary to perform all Spa services and to keep the Spa Supervisors and Spa Manager informed of any low stock as required. To maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility. To assist with any other duties as directed by the Spa Supervisors / Spa Manager when not scheduled to perform services. To constantly maintain an up to date knowledge of both theoretical and practical information pertaining to the therapist position and be aware of market trends. To be able to answer all questions related to both the products and services offered within the Spa facility. To ensure punctuality in both arriving for work and commencing guest appointments throughout the day at all times. Must possess relevant qualifications from a recognized body in relation to massage therapy. Be enthusiastic, honest, efficient and professional in appearance Must possess good communication skills Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays Whilst you’re employed as a Massage Therapist, you’re also employed as an employee of The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa and are expected to work as a member of a team achieving one objective – exceeding our guest’s expectations. And from time to time you will be required to assist in other areas completing other tasks and responsibilities. Qualifications Must be a graduate from an accredited school of massage therapy and must maintain a current license that meets the criteria in order to obtain a license to practice in Grand Cayman. To be qualified in full Anatomy & Physiology of the body and be able to perform all types of massages including; Deep Tissue, Swedish, Aromatherapy, Hot Stone and Reflexology.
