Summary :This Massage Therapist position supports the ThedaCare Hospice team. Eligible for a fleet vehicle.The Massage Therapist treats clients by using touch to manipulate the muscles and other soft tissues of the body to relieve pain, help heal injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.Job Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Performs intake assessment of patient history and needs for massage service, utilizes best practice techniques and skills for massage, listens to client for feedback during and after massage, and provides education to ensure a high quality client experience.Provides a safe, clean environment for the delivery of massage.Provides patient-centered care and education by working in partnership with caregivers and patients to encourage and empower their active participation in the care plan.Completes accurate and timely documentation of services in accordance with professional and compliance standards to ensure accurate billing and coding to maximize reimbursement and compliance.Demonstrates responsible actions and initiative to positively impact patient access to care, and contributes to the department’s financial performance.Develops and/or implements clinical and community-based activities that improve or expand massage therapy services within the department and/or ThedaCare, to benefit the health and wellness of the communities served.Proactively promotes putting the patient and family first through facilitating positive patient experience.QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED preferredMust be 18 years of age • Graduate of an approved massage therapy programLicensed by State of Wisconsin Massage TherapistAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistanceJob classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job dutiesWORK ENVIRONMENT:
