Position Summary:

This position is responsible for preparing food for service, setting up the cooking line and preparing food in designated stations to fill customer orders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

Follows all written and established recipes and prepares food according to established standardsSets up the cooking line and prepares food

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains a clean and sanitary work area

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

Four years of culinary experience in a high volume, food and beverage operation or one year of training plus one year of culinary experience may be substitutedMust be able to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers in English

Competencies:  Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

             

Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skillsAdvanced knife skills and the knowledge of safe and efficient operation of kitchen equipmentIntermediate working knowledge of food preparation and handlingAbility to read recipes and follow written directions

Training Requirements:

Understanding of health and sanitation guidelines

             

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Fast paced kitchen environmentMust be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent lifting and bendingMust be able to lift up to 40lbsMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
