Master Data Management Market Lead F/M/X

Job Description:

Data and technology are increasingly changing our relationship with customers & consumers, and the way we market, sell and distribute our brands, in an increasingly disruptive Digitization of Commerce.

The main purpose of this role is to ensure compliance to data standards and rules and to monitor and improve data quality in the material master data domain. In addition, the role aims to continuously support operations, identify, drive and implement process changes and improvements for simplification and first-time right execution within the European and global system landscape in line with the France, Benelux & South Europe cluster and regional business strategy.

What are we looking for?

Completed studies (Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Business Administration) or commercial education in wholesale, retail, industry, logistics or other comparable training

· Ideally 2-3 year experience in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry; functional experience in a local demand/supply chain function or in project/process management is beneficial

· Solid master data understanding within the E2E processes, x-functional awareness of data, basic understanding of data models

· Detailed knowledge of SAP data maintenance processes and reporting as well as a good knowledge of PIM solutions and data models

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Digitally savvy and strong learning agility with process and systems, MS Office and Power BI skills

· Demonstrated capability to work effectively with others/multiple teams in a remote and flexible environment managing multiple activities and priorities

· Language skills: English (good written and oral skills). Other languages (market cluster related) beneficial.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Within the European Master Data Management Service the Master Data management (MDM) Market Lead will be responsible for identifying and deploying master data standards and processes of one or multiple data process elements within the Material Master Data Domain serving defined cluster organizations. Data process elements are data creation, maintenance, aggregation and syndication. The main focus of the role is on the functional and technical implementation of processes (segment specific or x-segment) and system support for users in day-to-day business operations which might be segment specific or x-segment.

Key responsibilities depending on assigned areas (clusters, segment and/or data element) include:

Provision of process & technical guidance to the market MDM team and functional stakeholdersEvaluation of new data requirements and their sourcing, target market profiling, adjustments of product data to the required formats across multiple channels, platforms and marketplacesIdentifying opportunities for synergies and/or integration of standard toolkit solutions where appropriate to harmonize processes, make them more efficient along the value chain and implement best practices through mutual exchangeInitiating and implementing continuous improvement of processes or technical procedures to increase efficiency, data quality, speed to market and transparency based on value creation potential. Tracking of priorities, status, cost and value are inherent.Enforcing data quality by performing plausibility checks and ensuring external data quality audits (driven by GS1 entities and retailers) are met, monitoring compliance to data standards and business rules and ensuring adherence to master data related principles, processes, ways of working and tools.Analysing, documenting and rectifying errors, performing and supporting root cause analysis,Coordination of system releases for market operations including functional & application testingPlanning and implementation of training measures for end users, owning all market activity relevant master data / product information management related training materials,Creation and support of authorization concepts as well as managing system access according to compliance/approval related rules in the ERP or PIM systems usedBeing first point of contact and ensuring appropriate communication to, and input from, business and Digital Technology counterparts as well as trade partners or external suppliers regarding product data requirements, data quality issues, or new data requirement to support overall data governance. Acting as the team representative for other expert technical & process teams (Data Stewards, DT teams)Engaging in defined GS1 local workgroups (e.g. data quality) with the objective to understand externally driven data requirements, supporting on how they will be embedded in the GDSN standard, evaluating impact on the Mars portfolio and preparing internal decision templates.
