SUMMARY\n
Reporting to the Manager, Shared Services, the primary focus of the Master Data Specialist is to support operations and ensure data integrity within the organization, while adhering to master data management guidelines. This individual will perform and maintain Supplier, Customer and General Ledger account master data records in Microsoft Navision\/Oracle, including updates and various other activities for Champion Home Builders sites serviced by the Shared Services team in Troy, MI. The Master Data Specialist will communicate cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders on a daily basis and must be flexible, organized in managing many requests based on the timing and critical nature of the business needs, along with strong communication skills and attention to detail for accurate data keeping and integrity\n

RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nEstablish and enforce MDM governance policies, procedures, and standards\nDevelop and maintain a comprehensive MDM strategy in alignment with organizational goals\nLead data quality initiatives to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data\nCollaborate with data stewards across various business units to standardize data definitions and practices\nCreate, update, and maintain master data records in ERP system timely and accurately\nEnsure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all systems and databases\nComplete regular data reconciliations to identify and correct discrepancies\nDrive standardization across Shared Services processes by optimizing processes and implementing best practices\nServe as the primary point of contact for master data-related inquiries and issues\nFacilitate workshops and training sessions to promote data governance awareness\nEnsure thorough documentation of key tasks and processes\nEnsure all required SOX controls are followed throughout the end-to-end process\nDevelop and deliver regular reports on master data quality metrics and MDM performance\nUtilize data analytics tools to monitor and improve data quality across systems\nProvide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making\nSupport ad hoc requests from various teams\nSupport other Master Data roles, when required\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS\n\nEducation: Bachelors or Four-year degree required\n5 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or related fields\nAbility to multi-task, well organized and a self-starter\nDetail oriented, professional attitude, reliable\nAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing\nAbility to interact work cross functionally with employees, suppliers and customers in a professional manner\nMicrosoft Office skills with particular emphasis on demonstrated proficiency in Excel\nExperience with data quality tools and methodologies\nExperience with ERP systems (particularly Microsoft Navision and Oracle) is a plus\nExperience with Master Data and the Shared Service Environment is a plus\n\n
