Job Description
BGIS has a unique service relationship with commercial customers that have a national presence. Our Service technicians conduct regularly scheduled maintenance, demand service requests, repair services and equipment changeouts at locations in and around their state.  Work is coordinated with our support team that includes, dispatchers/coordinators, supervisors and additional technical resources designed to ensure our techs have the resources they need to complete their job safely and efficiently.  Our technician team is provided with a fully stocked service van, iPad, iPhone and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing work in accordance with established processes and practices that comply with internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health safety, security, and fire protection. Operate independently from the provided service vehicle fully stocked with parts, materials, PPE and tools Communicate with service management team regarding field quotes, appointments, equipment rentals, portal logins, change orders and material requests. Maintain work vehicle & keep accurate parts list for acquisition & billing. Maintain a daily log of activities on the job site through a company provided electronic tablet.  Be a self-motivated individual & maintain the ability to work alone or with a co-worker. Establish and maintain an ever-changing schedule. Flexibility to work overtime / weekends as needed with some travel required Willingness to be on call once per month for one week.

Minimum Qualifications:

Oversee the safe installation of electrical systems from power distribution, rough in, trim, finish work and final punch phases. Work consists of installing, altering, repairing electrical systems and equipment associated with large-scale commercial and/or multifamily electrical construction projects. Reviews project documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, instructional manuals, specifications, blueprints and schedules work activities and field installations according to the scope of work and project schedule. Layout project work and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available to meet the project construction schedule. Complete essential paperwork such as material requests, time sheets, safety and incident reports. Responsible for managing electrical materials, tools and equipment assigned to the job site. Electrical Superintendent with 10+ years of experience in running commercial electrical construction projects out of the ground until completion. Established recent work history as an Electrical Superintendent on large-scale commercial electrical construction projects. Possess in-depth knowledge of NEC, local building codes, industry standards and jobsite safety requirements. Knowledgeable with the operation of tools and equipment on the job including but not limited to wire tugger, conduit benders, lifts, KO sets, backhoes, trencher, mini-excavators and generators. Effectively interacts and communicates professionally with management, support staff, field personnel, trade contractors, vendors, and clients. Flexibility to work hours required to maintain project schedule based on the scope of work which at times may include working long hours or weekends. Evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop and implement solutions. Must be able to bring projects in at or below labor budget. AHCA experience a PLUS Master Electrician License required CPR/First Aid preferred Upholds Owen Electric Company values of safety, teamwork, professionalism, growth, and integrity.

BGIS is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. BGIS has different pay ranges for different work locations within the United States which allows us to pay team members competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.  

The salary range for this non-exempt part-time position in the US is $38.00-40.00 per hour.

A candidate’s salary offer is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
