Job Title: Master Planner
Job Description

As a Master Planner, you will be responsible for creating and managing a rolling 3-month Master Production Plan for designated products. You will utilize production capacity, consider sales forecasts, historical sales, and new business opportunities. The role involves analyzing and identifying risks associated with the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times, and performing supply demand analysis each quarter.

ResponsibilitiesCreate a rolling 3-month Master Production Plan for designated products.Utilize production capacity, considering sales forecasts, historical sales, and new business opportunities.Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times.Email schedules to the plants monthly.Perform supply demand analysis each quarter, highlighting areas of concern for the next 12 months.Make delivery commitments on MTO products by checking uncommitted material and availability of capacity.Develop inventory targets and manage production to achieve targeted inventory levels on both a cost and unit basis.Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels to ensure high service levels, i.e., product availability.Project finished goods inventory levels on a quarterly basis to achieve desired corporate inventory turn targets.Ensure coordination with plant schedulers to execute the Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis.Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan, identify gaps, and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule.Review sales forecast with the business manager on a monthly basis and suggest modifications consistent with knowledge of current or historical demand.Timely reporting of key metrics.Support the S&OP process meetings to review service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications. Update the Master Production Plan as necessary.Essential Skills2 to 3 years of scheduling experience.Manufacturing background.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with production planning and inventory management.Ability to analyze and identify risks in production planning.Strong communication skills for coordinating with plant schedulers and business managers.Proficiency in using planning and scheduling software.Work Environment

You will work closely with plant schedulers and business managers to ensure the execution of the Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis. The role involves regular analysis, reporting, and participation in S&OP process meetings. The work environment is dynamic and requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
