**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Project Manager (Urban/Master Planning)** to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20 years in large-scale and luxury project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within the region. This role requires strategic leadership, cultural insight, and the ability to navigate unique regional challenges to ensure successful project outcomes.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
**Project Management & Strategic Planning**
• Oversee all phases of urban and master planning projects, from concept development to execution and completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with local zoning laws, environmental regulations, and other applicable codes in Middle Eastern countries.
**Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management**
• Act as the main liaison for clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities, ensuring alignment with client vision and regional standards.
• Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, including government entities, ensuring smooth permitting and approvals.
• Conduct regular client meetings, providing updates and addressing any concerns or adjustments.
**Budgeting & Financial Oversight**
• Manage and oversee project budgets, aiming to optimize costs while maintaining quality and luxury standards.
• Track expenditures, forecast financial needs, and provide accurate reports to senior management and clients.
• Oversee procurement processes, including vendor selection and contract negotiations, with a focus on Middle Eastern suppliers and contractors.
**Team Leadership & Development**
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, including architects, planners, engineers, and contractors, fostering collaboration to achieve project milestones.
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting cultural awareness and understanding of Middle Eastern industry practices.
• Conduct performance reviews and maintain a productive team dynamic, even in high-pressure environments.
**Quality Assurance & Compliance**
• Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure that all project components meet the highest luxury and regional standards.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess quality, safety, and progress, addressing any issues as they arise.
• Ensure strict compliance with Middle Eastern safety protocols and industry regulations.
**Risk Management & Problem Solving**
• Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Resolve any issues that may impact timelines, quality, or project scope while maintaining positive client relationships.
• Ensure flexibility and adaptability to address regional-specific challenges, such as regulatory shifts, labor conditions, and material availability.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in urban/master planning and project management in the construction industry, with a strong portfolio of large-scale and luxury projects.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects in Middle Eastern countries, with in-depth knowledge of local regulations, cultural considerations, and market conditions.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications.
• Experience in sustainable planning and green building practices in arid climates.
• Familiarity with luxury construction practices and high-net-worth client management.
• Knowledge of Middle Eastern environmental and sustainability standards.
