Leidos is seeking a Master Production Schedule Coordinator to join a diverse team that is standardizing high level scheduling across multiple manufacturing sites in the Defense sector. Location for work is Huntsville, Alabama.
Primary Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced scheduler to get out of the work center fire fight and schedule demand signals at a higher level. At the Master Production Schedule level, this person will set the finished product demand based on customer requirements, and they will ensure transfer signals are set correctly between various manufacturing facilities, according to the indented manufacturing BOM.
This person will work with a team of data scientist to establish and refine pro-active monitoring tools with exception based alert messaging. They need to have the right personality to work with project management and production teams to make sure their needs are collected and conveyed to the analytics team. Once standard processes are set for Master Production Scheduling, this person will then be responsible for training and adherence.
Basic Qualifications
Candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and have at least 4 years of experience managing production schedules in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in Costpoint is a must, along with Inventory and Transfer Reservation experience.
Understanding of MRP and part master table configurations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with all members of Production and Analytics teams.
Experience with mBOM’s, revisions, effectivity dates and material expirations.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess and/or be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to query your own data and perform your own analysis using Excel or Power BI.
Experience in modern digital engineering tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Agile, and Scrum.
CPIM, CSCP or CPM Certification preferred.
