Job Description: Summary: Responsible for scheduling plant operations to meet customer order timing while enhancing plant efficiency and meeting inventory goals. Apply Allison Sales and Operations Planning process to effectively forecast material. Responsibilities: + Create Sales and Operations plans to schedule plant operations and meet sales demand forecast. + Use SAP to plan material at the transmission group level to assure availability to meet production schedules and optimize inventory. + Work with Sales Order Administration daily to evaluate changes in customer demand. + Facilitate floor operations and removes barriers for operations to meet measurable objectives. + Create Final Assembly Schedules to meet customer demand timing. + Resolve scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information; coordinating solutions. Experience: + Education preferred: College degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or a related field preferred. + Experience preferred: Prior Supply Chain experience using ERP systems + APICS Certification is preferred. Required Qualifications: + Strong oral and written communication skills required. + High level of interpersonal skills to work optimally with others. + High level of analytical ability where problems are complex required. + Ability to learn in a fast paced environment required. + Strong computer skills, especially Excel. Preferred Qualifications: + Knowledge / experience with planning and scheduling in an ERP system, preferably SAP. + Knowledge of scheduling and inventory control systems and manufacturing processes.
