\nThe Master Scheduler is responsible for creating and managing the site production schedule to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency and communicating effectively with all relevant parties to ensure customer satisfaction by completing orders on time. The Master Scheduler will also create and maintain detailed reports on production plans, progress and changes to the schedule.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a master production schedule for all injection molding and decorating assets based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to optimize output. Work closely with SIOP, sales, marketing, production, shipping, and purchasing teams to align scheduling with overall business goals. Analyze customer orders and adjust production schedules to meet delivery deadlines while managing fluctuations in demand. Assess available production capacity, including equipment and labor, to ensure feasible scheduling. Coordinate with purchasing teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components needed for production. Track production progress against the master schedule, identifying potential delays and taking corrective actions. Generate reports on production performance, key metrics, and identify areas for improvement. Communicate delays in meeting the schedule to customer service in a timely fashion. Schedule and plan so that changeovers are minimized while meeting expected customer agreements and delivery schedules. Identify and resolve issues that could potentially impact schedule adherence and order fulfillment. Work with production and operations management to set priorities and manage conflicts. Generate priority sheet which identifies the order in which each machine needs to run. Create and maintain all Shop Orders, monitoring daily production output and updating reports. Own responsibility for the data integrity of IFS production planning parameters including forecasting and demand planning. Other tasks as assigned by management. \n Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, supply chain management, or a related field Four to six years of work experience as a scheduler in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and process simplification. Experience with ERP, MPS, MRP II or other resource planning systems including forecasting, demand planning and capacity analysis; experience with IFS preferred. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Knowledge of production processes, supply chain management and inventory control. Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Intermediate to expert-level Excel. \nBenefits
