MASTER SCHEDULER Drive Efficiency and Production Flow at Jostens   ABOUT YOU: Are you a skilled production planner with expertise in scheduling and workflow optimization? Jostens is seeking a Master Scheduler to support production control management by planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring jobs throughout the entire production cycle. This role ensures a smooth, efficient production process while maintaining on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.   YOU HAVE: Education & Experience. B.S. in Business, Production/Operations Management, Planning, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Industry Expertise. At least 5 years of experience as a Master Scheduler, Production Control, or Planning Manager. Leadership Skills. Experience managing teams in a collaborative, team-based environment. Technical Proficiency. Advanced skills in Excel, MS Office Suite, MS Access, ERP systems, and scheduling software. Familiarity with Oracle systems is a plus. Analytical & Problem-Solving Ability. Strong skills in analyzing data, optimizing schedules, and resolving production challenges. Communication & Collaboration. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Organizational Agility. Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring production efficiency and on-time delivery. Lean & Continuous Improvement. Understanding of 5S methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement initiatives.   YOU WILL: Manage Production Scheduling. Create, direct, and coordinate work schedules, ensuring continuous production flow based on capacity, priorities, and resource availability. Optimize Processes. Utilize scheduling software (Excel, MS Access, EFI, Oracle) to improve efficiency and minimize production bottlenecks. Lead Reporting & Analysis. Track customer performance, manage reports, and develop custom reports to monitor production metrics and scheduling effectiveness. Oversee Inventory. Order and maintain peripheral printing materials while ensuring accurate tracking of inventory and production quotas. Drive Continuous Improvement. Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to support process optimization and plant safety initiatives. Lead & Train. Provide technical expertise, training, and informal leadership to the scheduling team while managing up to three direct reports. Ensure Compliance. Support plant safety initiatives and adhere to OSHA standards.
