Position Summary:

The primary function of a Master Scheduler is to balance demand and supply from the aggregate volume level to the detailed mix. This position is also responsible for leading the Fabrication planning team. This role will typically have 3 direct reports. Ensures orders are delivered on time, in the right quantity, and in a manner most efficient for the Asheville plant. Must have the ability to look holistically at the supply chain with both short- and long-term planning in mind. The Master Scheduler will work closely with Order Admin, and Production Planning to ensure Asheville production plans are optimally setup to enable the factory to be successful. They will be responsible for developing the production schedule, presenting it out to the organization and managing all plan changes. The ideal candidate will appreciate an environment where superior work is encouraged, noticed and rewarded. Typical schedule would be 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is required. Planning often has to work every other Saturday ar at least the mornings (6a - 9a), but the manager does not need to be present every time. It will depend on how this individual manages their team.

Key Responsibilities:

1 Team champion and lead S&OP management process

Understand contractual agreements, between customers and TFS, on material liability.

Align with Supply Chain Planning to understand supply constraints (capacity / mix limitations, logistics issues) and, similarly, incorporate these into the scheduling algorithm.

Maintain achievable build & delivery plan, with focus on minimizing costs and internal lead-time.

Supervise and maintain usable/available capacity through the use of a capacity analysis tool.

Effectively run accurate effectivity dates resulting from Engineering Changes.

Manage notifications (ECN’s), product transfers, and End of Life (EOL) activity.

Must have strong analytic capability

3 Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Degree in supply chain management or related field preferred

3-5 years of experience in materials management related field.

Prior manufacturing experience in planning/scheduling highly preferred, especially one that has created a new system for planning/scheduling

Sophisticated PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet skills and ERP/MRP experience.

Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills are a must.

Ability to effectively and professionally work under pressure, in a team-oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities.
