Job Summary:
If you are an experienced Master Scheduler/ Production Planning professional, Emerson-Appleton Group Canada Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Elmira, ON location, reporting to the Planning and Materials Manager, you will be responsible for all manufactured and cross dock inter-company finished goods, as well as supporting manufactured sub-assemblies and outsourced processes. This includes reviewing and acting on business system order release and reschedule messages, supporting manufacturing resource management through providing accurate and timely data organizing the shop floor manufacturing schedule to support delivery dates, meet customer requirements and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
In addition to planning and scheduling, this role includes work order management from release to close, responding to inquiries regarding manufactured goods availability, business system data inputs and updates, and issuing and expediting purchase orders for outside processes and limited key time critical purchased items.
Create and implement processes and system tools to enhance performance, provide load visibility, and improve decision making based on customer needs. The broad range of tasks establish this individual as a skilled backup for Buyer/ Planner coverage when required.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
Review and act on business system generated order release and reschedule messages and respond to Customer Service and Sales Team requests for ship dates and lead time estimates for manufactured and cross dock inter-company components/ items. Manufactured sub-assembly and finished good work order management including create, release, schedule, maintenance and close. Create complete shop packets for release, including work orders, component pick lists, and other requirements; Coordinate with Buyer/ Planners for appropriate purchased component delivery dates; Prioritize work orders for production to enhance our performance to requested and promised ship dates. Create, release, and expedite work orders and purchase orders for Outside processing (OSP) requirements Lead a daily Production Meeting to establish priorities, address concerns and create action plans to meet targets. Create and handle prioritized schedules with expected completion dates for all key areas in production. Assembly Areas – Panels, Lighting, Junction Boxes and Other CNC and manual Machining Paint and wash Coordinate with shipping / receiving and production to locate missing parts and request cycle counts when vital. Process Oracle workflow requests to code new items within Master Scheduler portfolio with all required data. Using exception reports, clean up converted or missed data fields. Create and maintain detailed written work instructions for all assigned tasks; Backup for Buyer/ Planner roles when required. Track and provide root cause data for missed request and/or promised ship dates; Recommend, contribute to, or lead root cause analysis and/or process change projects relative to the position as assigned. FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
College diploma related to Planning and Materials Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent 5+ years ERP software experience in a similar capacity is required. Experience in Planning and Inventory management Experience in Production Planning, Scheduling, Material Planning Scheduling (MPS)/Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Demand Planning Must be proficient with MS Office, in particular Excel Strong problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills to relate optimally to people both internally and externally (i.e. employees, management, suppliers, peers) Must have excellent organizational skills to prioritize and coordinate one’s own work Must have ability to cope with multiple demands as many requests are frequently demanded simultaneously Legal authorization to work in Canada – sponsorship will not be provided for this position.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
