Job Description:

Microchip is seeking an experienced Master Technician - Facilities to join our team in Lowell, MA. The Master Technician will maintain and repair the facilities equipment, including mechanical/electrical, building and grounds while also managing a Grade 2 industrial wastewater pretreatment system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and troubleshoot of the building’s systems that include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interior/exterior, general building maintenance.Operate grade (2) wastewater pretreatment system, maintain reports, records, and chemical supplies.Maintains work areas, and equipment to make sure they are safe, clean, and in good orderly condition and follow all safety rules and regulations.Work with and supports outside contractors related to building maintenance; HVAC, mechanical/electrical, and janitorial.Provide support functions needed to sustain daily building / facilities infrastructure.Provide evening/weekend facilities coverage during off-shift emergency maintenance events in a rotating basis.Ensures the proper, efficient/reliable operation of the facility and wastewater pretreatment operations including deionized water / reverse osmosis systems.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Requirements:

Minimum MA grade (2) industrial wastewater license.Minimum of 2 years practical facilities experience.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations.Must have a customer service mindset.Demonstrate ability to learn new equipment/systems.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Must be able to take ownership of and follow through on assignments with minimal guidance.Must be able to use technical expertise and judgement to investigate issues.
