About the Opportunity
Consumer and Industry Lab at Ericsson Research is looking for a master thesis student to investigate impact of ecosystem dynamics and technological advances on the Augmented Reality (AR) landscape. The team is located in Kista.
We are looking for a master's student to explore how various factors, such as ecosystem participants and technological advancements like generative AI, shape the Augmented Reality (AR) landscape. Specifically, the focus will be on understanding the impact on AR applications, market platforms, and potential user behavior. The research may utilize a variety of methods. The outcome should provide an insightful overview of the current and future AR landscape, practical implications for the industry, and suggestions for future research directions.
What You Will Do
• Collect and analyze data from various sources (e.g. press releases, news outlets, academic literature, social media)
• Conduct qualitative research to explore perceptions and expectations on AR technology
• Publish and communicate results internally and externally
• Collaborate with a dynamic team with opportunities for learning, taking on new responsibilities, impacting new ways of working
The Skills You Bring
• This master's thesis opportunity is intended for one student.
• Interest in working exploratively to understand novel phenomena.
• Strong research acumen, with the ability to formulate compelling research questions and select or adapt suitable methods.
• Proficiency in conducting interviews, analyzing trends and media, and performing literature reviews.
• Keen interest in emerging tech trends and their implications, ranging from business opportunities to ethical considerations, with some familiarity with AR technologies being preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.
