Join our Team

About this opportunity:

Quantum Computing (QC) systems hold immense potential in resolving complex, real-world problems that even powerful High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems may find challenging to handle alone. Integrating QC as an accelerator within HPC environments holds promise to synergize HPC computation with QC, thereby amplifying computational capacities, particularly within telecommunications applications.

This master thesis project aims at interconnect optimization for HPC-QC systems in telecom applications.

What you will do:

· Understand state of the art related to noisy quantum devices and computer systems.

· Understand state of the art related to optimization techniques.

· Devise a new approach in the corresponding domain.

· Compare the proposed approach with the state of art.

· Document the solution in the form of thesis report

The skills you bring:

· MSc Student in Physics/Computer Science or other related fields.

· Proficient in Linear Algebra, Quantum Mechanics.

· Understanding of Quantum Computing and Computer Systems

· Good programing skills are required for C++, Python.

The work is expected to start in Jan/Feb 2024. The work is proposed for 1 student for the duration of 6 months. Please submit your application in English as soon as possible - we are working continuously with candidate selection.
