Master thesis - Material Development for Implants (f/m/x)
Your Role

Synthesis of New Materials / Preperation of Copolymers: Conduct carbiocationic polymerization with crosslinking at elevated temperatures to prepare copolymers:

Route A: Block Copolymer vs. Random Oriented Investigate the properties of block copolymers in comparison to randomly oriented copolymers

Route B: Variation of Cross-Linker Amount Explore the effect of different cross-linker amounts (2%, 5%, 10%) on the properties of the copolymers

Purify and characterize the synthesized polymer material using appropriate analytical techniques

Evaluation of Material Properties o Assess the optical and mechanical properties of the new polymer-based materials. o Evaluate the injectability, ageing, and other relevant properties of the materials to ensure suitability for medical implantable devices

Your Profile

Skilled and motivated masters student

Responsible for the synthesis and characterization of a new polymer-based material for medical implantable devices
