POSITION SUMMARY:
The MAT Driver & Client Support Specialist is responsible for transporting staff and necessary materials to designated locations to provide services to clients enrolled in the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. While this role does not involve driving clients, it requires ensuring safe and timely transportation of team members to outreach locations. Additionally, the individual in this role may provide peer support services or therapeutic interventions to MAT clients, based on qualifications and experience. This position plays a vital role in supporting individuals in recovery by fostering engagement, reducing barriers to care, and providing compassionate assistance in alignment with the organization’s mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive agency MAT vehicle to transport staff and necessary materials to service locations. Maintain log for vehicle service. Maintenance daily of vehicles used for participant transportation. Assist in setting up mobile service locations as needed. Engage with clients in a supportive and professional manner. If qualified, provide peer support services, including sharing lived experiences to encourage client participation. Assist clinical and outreach staff in providing education on MAT services and harm reduction strategies. Help connect clients with additional resources, such as community support programs. Participate in outreach and engagement activities to promote MAT program participation. Report any client concerns or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor.
