Job Description
SUMMARY
The Mateline Superintendent oversees all modular site-related activities, ensuring seamless coordination among the Z Modular production facility, general contractors, and subcontractors. This role is responsible for maintaining project schedules, managing material vendors, ensuring quality and compliance, and addressing on-site challenges. The position requires extensive travel and hands-on leadership, particularly in interior finishing and modular unit turnover.
RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE
7-10+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent specializing in interior construction, particularly for commercial and/or multifamily projects.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, MS Projects), Procore, scheduling software, and CAE/CAD applications.OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant construction management certifications are preferred.Any combination of relevant education and/or experience demonstrating proficiency in the essential functions of the role.Eligible to work in the United States.KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | COMPETENCIES

This role is based entirely on construction sites, requiring daily exposure to outdoor weather conditions, uneven terrain, and active construction environments.The Construction Site Superintendent must adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.Collaboration with site superintendents, subcontractors, project teams, and inspectors occurs primarily on-site, requiring a professional demeanor and effective communication to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with safety standards.Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, and navigate construction sites for extended periods.Capable of lifting and carrying materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as needed for the project.Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment and performing necessary on-site tasks.Visual and auditory ability to monitor site activities and ensure safety compliance.Proficiency in handling office equipment and moving around the office.
