Job Description: Material area supervisor will be responsible for managing small work teams in a unionized, warehousing environment. Responsible for ensuring team safety; building teams and training / allocating manpower; driving and implementing continuous improvement solutions to improve product quality and reach throughput and cost targets; and ensuring team morale. The selected candidate’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to coordinating all activities to achieve business metrics. + Provide a safe, secure, and engaging work environment that fosters team member involvement and creativity. + Embrace and practice Stellantis Leadership Principles + Provide feedback, coaching, and training to associates as needed. + Analyze root causes and execute countermeasures for daily work challenges while implementing safe work practices and preventative countermeasures. + Utilize kaizen activities to drive continuous process improvements. + Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety with team members, peers, and senior management. + Monitor and track parts receipts and deliveries. + Record and manage in system requirements that communicate with the Assembly plants. + Ensure the shipping plan is met, analyzes issues with other roles, drives and implements continuous improvement activities. + Ensure a safe workplace, leads the Team to improve Safety in the area and enforces the use of mandated Safety tools and procedures. + Ensure the right allocation of the people on the job, manage absenteeism, trains and build teams. + Actively participate and lead kaizen project activities centered on Safety, Cost, Quality and Throughput improvements and waste reduction opportunities identified through cost deployment. Requirements: + 100% Onsite + Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or relevant bachelor's degree and comparable experience 2+ years' experience in Supply Chain Management or similar functions + Ability to work any shift and overtime as required + Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills + Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required + Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers + Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously + Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams Preferred Qualifications: + Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members + Previous experience working in a union environment + Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing Our success as a company is built on practicing inclusion and embracing diversity.
