Material Associate

Start your new career as a Material Associate with MAU at our client, in Seneca, SC. As a Material Associate, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers.

What We’re Looking For

Willingness to work weekends High school diploma or GED preferred 1 year of experience in Powered Industrial Truck Operation Active forklift certification/license preferred Familiarity with SAP/ERP systems preferred Experience in a fast-paced industrial environment utilizing Lean manufacturing methodologies Strong computer skills, including proficiency with inventory software, Excel, and Word Excellent safety awareness with keen attention to detail and accuracy High sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines Strong judgment and decision-making skills Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 pounds, climbing onto and off lifts, walking long distances, working in varying temperatures (non-climate-controlled), and performing repetitive motions

What You’ll Do as a Material Associate

Safely operate powered material handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts, stand-up lifts, tuggers, and electric jacks Load and unload materials manually from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves Supply parts to assembly and machining departments to ensure continuous production Maintain line inventory to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations Accurately and efficiently enter data into SAP and other required systems Support 5S and housekeeping initiatives to maintain a clean and organized work environment Follow nonconforming material procedures by using appropriate deviation areas and hold tags for defective parts Adhere to FIFO standards for all storage areas and material flow points Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols, including proper box-cutting techniques Perform other duties as assigned
