Job Summary:
The work content includes but in not limited to: receiving and verifying material, final order confirmations,
movement of parts within or between departments, unloading materials from trucks arriving at the
receiving docks, locating, moving and delivering parts within and between departments according to
production schedules, coordinating the availability of materials and raw stock to assigned shop areas as
required by production schedules or external requirements such as aftermarket or experimental and all
Material Stores activities/transactions.


Job Responsibilities:
• Assist Supervisor with required personnel training programs to include such areas as inventory
record accuracy, cycle counting, computer terminal utilization, MRP systems, etc.
• Responsible for planning, organizing and prioritizing work/materials to meet production and
assembly schedules.
• Works from routing sheets, kit lists, material requisitions, dispatch reports, manifest lists, and oral
and written instructions to perform duties necessary to maintain adequate levels of materials,
parts, kits and assemblies. Locates moves, delivers or reports status of required parts and
assemblies for various production areas.
• Reviews bin locations, storage areas; shortage lists, and confers with material planners to
determine required stock levels.
• Requires regular contacts within production control, various production departments, supply
chain, material stores, manufacturing engineering, etc.
• Initiates material requisitions as required to obtain replacement or unplanned requirements, and
coordinates with the requestor. Maintains out time tracking on all pre-pregs on shop floor and on
kits that have been started.
• Cuts and stores pre-preg samples for shelf life maintenance. Assists with staging tools for
production.
• Works from computer generated shortage reports, material requisitions, oral and written
instructions to support a Production "Out the Door" on schedule condition.
• Assists the department scheduler or supervisor in analyzing shortage information and impact on
available material or parts. Provides material and/or part status assistance to material handlers,
schedulers, and expeditors. Works from daily dispatch and schedule to determine amount of raw
stock to be ordered to meet production schedule. Orders supplies when necessary.

• Reviews shortage lists and confers with Production Control to maintain required stock levels.
• Required to assure proper receipt of items defined by Purchase Order agreements.
• Coordinates receiving activities with other interacting departments as required assuring proper
receipt action and conformance to procedural requirements.
• Maintains steady completion of receiving functions by assigned personnel and coordinates flow of
orders thru Receiving and Quality Assurance to assure minimum backlog of receipts at all times.
• Unpackaged received articles and verifies article is listed correctly on accompanying paperwork,
and the article(s) matches the packing sheet description.
• Uses some judgment in inspecting the received articles for damage. Re-packages as required for
movement to the next receiving position.
• Moves the article to the next operation in accordance with the receiving report, router slip, or
other accompanying paperwork.
• Operates all applicable material handling equipment and some measuring devices as required to
verify receipts are as listed on the packing sheet. Must hold a valid Forklift Operator's Certification
Card.
• Performs inventory transactions as needed.
• Receives tools from shop areas and sorts to determine tools to be reworked and/or re-sharpened.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Responsible for the quality of own work
• Performs other related duties as required.

Education:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Use
of simple arithmetic such as addition and subtraction of decimals and fractions, together with simple
drawings and some measuring instruments.


Experience:
Requires a minimum of three months experience in Material Stores, receiving/final confirmation with
exposure to freight bills, supplier packing sheets, production routings and good overall knowledge of
stockroom and warehouse requirements/transactions, scheduling and expediting. Must hold a valid
Forklift Operations Certificate card.


Working Conditions:
Good working conditions with some exposure to dust and noise.
