About the role

The Material Compliance Specialist will be responsible for QA/QC inspection of Non-Hazardous Profiled Waste deliveries into Reworld™ Indianapolis Thermomechanical Treatment Facility (TTF), reporting to the Supplemental Waste Program Manager. Hours are from 5am to 1pm, Monday thru Friday (1st shift)

Primary duties include:

Follow and implement the SOP for QA/QC and work with facility personnel to ensure that waste received meets the approved profile.

Document all discrepancies and communicate with the Material Compliance, Sales & Account Manager departments/personnel to resolve problems.

Facilitate a solution-oriented approach to discrepancy resolution and long-term compliance.

Identify and catalog waste processing issues and assist in developing strategic long-term solutions with customer centric approach working closely with Supplemental Waste Program Manager and Material Compliance.

Present suggestions for process optimization and participate in the implementation of chose improvement opportunities.

Position Requirements:

2-3 years of experience in the waste industry or related field

Computer competency required

Strong analytical and planning skills coupled with the ability to multi-task

Detail-oriented and creative problem-solving approach

Strong team player;

Experience implementing and modifying SOP's

Customer Service-related experience a plus

Technical experience in materials management and/or logistics a plus

BS or BA in Environmental Science, chemistry or Biology a plus

HAZWOPER, RCRA training or related training strongly preferred

OSHA Training or related safety training strongly preferred
