Material Control Coordinator

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
The Material Control Coordinator is responsible for managing parts of the supply chain encompassing receiving, inventory, ordering, quality, shipping, and usage tracking for materials used in Development and Commercial Operations.  This role also serves as a vital communication interface between the lab team and the operations team to ensure that material quality and delivery goals are consistently met or exceeded.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Receiving: Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods Assuring received items were not damaged in transit Comparing packing lists with contents in the shipment to ensure each delivery matches the packing list (note discrepancies) Updating the product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory Creating MSS Records as required Inventory: Responsible for stocking Inventory Responsible for placing orders for critical items in inventory Responsible to track inventory usage by teams (check out) Work with the inventory replenishment team for streamlining and improvements to materials management   Support Quality on issues with supply chain, CAPA resolution, Material Review Board and SCARs as is needed Supports Project Management (Inventory Replenishment System), Development and Laboratory management in forecasting supply and materials needs Maintains training and compliance to Biodesix Quality Management system Stretch Goals: Contributes to the development of rolling forecasts in support of the laboratory Contributes to the conduct and review process controls that facilitates LEAN assessment, implementation, and monitoring Shipping: Packing products for return to vendors and filling out paperwork as necessary. Be a back-up for the Manufacturing Specialist (building and/or quality documentation for kits to send to customers) Assist in training, and be a back-up for the receiving clerk Assist in development of a dedicated shipping function for the company Lead and perform periodic cycle and wall-to-wall counts, as specified by policy, and business need   Resolving discrepancies in the above    COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  Ability to repeatedly lift and move 50 pounds or more Ability to work independently Hazmat certifications and international shipping experience preferred Must be detail oriented Ability to maintain accurate records Experience operating a pallet jack Good communication and organizational skills Flexibility to help whenever needed Competency in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a regulated environment preferred Minimum of 1 year of shipping and receiving experience with a good understanding of safety regulation, physical dexterity and inventory tracking preferred   REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: This role shall comply, at a minimum, with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined in:  CLIA: Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Requirements, Title 42 Code of Federal Regulations Part 493 CAP: College of American Pathologists (CAP): All Common, General, Chemistry, Director Responsibility and Authority and Molecular Pathology checklists  NYS CLEP: New York State Department of Health, Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program (CLEP), New York State Public Health Law, Article 5 Title 5 ISO: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485, Quality Management Systems, Requirements for Regulatory Purposes, 2016 All other applicable state and regulatory governing authorities including but not limited to: CA, PA, RI, MD   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions   While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear   The team member frequently is required to sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms; occasionally is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and must occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds   Specific vision abilities required by this job include visual acuity to Colorado driver’s license requirements
