Job Description
We are seeking a Material Control Operator who will provide accurate inventory information for material stock. You will monitor, organize, and maintain inventory of company products at multiple branch locations while working alongside a diverse group of people.
ResponsibilitiesMust have: Operate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts.Must have experience: Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties. Enter data for inventory into a computer.Record data manually using a clipboard.Load and unload metal materials (raw materials) both manually and with a forklift.Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill.Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material.Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket.Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff.Perform verification of scrap.Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits.Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED).Ability to read, write, speak, and understand fluent English and perform basic math problems.Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory management system.Ability to use a tape measure and calipers for material inspection/measurement.Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in written work and data entry.Certification to operate material handling equipment, including forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry-picker.Additional Skills & Qualifications1 years of material control or inventory experience.Previous experience safely operating a variety of material handling equipment (forklift, side-loader, etc.).Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure.Attributes include attention to detail, ability to work on your feet, read a tape measure, and proficiency with paperwork and chain of custody.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.70 - $21.70/hr.
