The Material Control Technician I will transport product in the warehouse and shop using a power industrial truck (PIT). The role will load and unload delivery trucks, participate in the packaging process, record the product received and put product in the proper shelf spot. The Material Control Technician I ensures the warehouse and shop areas are fully stocked and have the products properly picked to complete pick orders needed to fulfil orders. The Material Control Technician I will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.
As a Material Control Technician I, you will be responsible for:
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. Read work orders or follow verbal instructionsIdentify, inspect, and track incoming and outgoing parts for quality, quantity, and accuracySupply build floor with material build kitsOperate an industrial truckLoad materials and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transitClean, organize, remove packing dunnage, and keep work area cleanTo be considered as a Material Control Technician I, you will need:
High school diploma or equivalentNo previous experience requiredUnderstands concept of good customer service, reliable attendance, and ability to workovertimeAbility to obtain or qualify for an industrial truck licenseAbility to read, count and communicate inventory data both written and verbalAbility to follow directions and learn new skills and detail orientedBasic computer skills
A successful candidate may also have:
