Material Controller - Expediter - Power Delivery

  The Position Proposition:                                                                                                                                                                     

The Material Controller / Expediter will manage the post award activities of all assigned purchase orders to achieve contractual completion of the supplier scope of work to meet PO requirements and project needs.

Become familiar with the Project requirements, including all deliverables and dates needed.

Attend and reports at all weekly Project meetings.

Communicate with the Primoris Project Scheduler and field construction personnel about any variations in dates and/or scope of delivery.

Acquire a copy of each Purchase Order logged and filed in Project-specific files.

Contact each Supplier to establish a single-point-of-contact responsible for the oversight of the design, manufacturing process, and schedule at the Supplier’s location.

Determine (with the Project Manager) the regularity of contact with each Supplier to ensure the Supplier is maintaining their projected schedule. Some Supplier site visits may be required to validate information.

Document each Supplier contact in a Project-specific Expediting Log recording Supplier’s current manufacturing schedule and dates of contact.

Make copies of Project-specific Expediting Logs available to the appropriate Project personnel on a weekly basis.

Immediately notifies Project Manager and Procurement Supply Chain Manager if any delay in schedule is identified.

Work with Supplier to overcome and correct any delays in their manufacturing schedule requesting assistance from Procurement Supply Chain Manager and/or Project Manager when needed.

Document the successful delivery of correct material and/or equipment that the Expeditor is responsible for in the Expediting Log and notifies the Project Manager, as well as the Procurement Supply Chain Manager.

Work with receiving personnel on job site to identify nonconforming material and/or equipment, as well as any shortages or overages, and works with Procurement Supply Chain personnel to correct. Manages the resolution of nonconformance jointly with the Project Manager, Construction Site Supervisor, and Procurement Supply Chain.

Document the successful close-out of all Purchase Orders for a specific Project.

 

 Educational & Minimum Requirements:                                                                                                                                           High School diploma or GED, required. Associates degree or higher is highly preferred.
