What Will Be Your Environment:
The Painesville plant is one of Lubrizol’s larger facilities in the area, just outside of Cleveland, OH.
What You'll Do:
As Material Coordinator you will act as the focal point for acquisition, scheduling, marshalling and distribution of services, spare parts, consumables, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to keep plant and facility assets operating safely at optimal levels of cost and performance.
What We're Looking For:
Material and Service Coordination: Review work orders, identify needed materials and services, and determine their availability from internal or external sources. Communication: Inform relevant stakeholders about the availability of materials and services, and address any potential deficiencies. Work Order Management: Update work order need dates and select appropriate transport methods based on priority. Requisition Management: Submit requisitions for standard materials using preferred vendors and gather quotes for non-standard materials, submitting them to Procurement for ordering. Bid Waivers and Approvals: Create bid waivers for sole source purchases, obtain necessary approvals, and submit to Procurement. Contractor Coordination: Work with the Contract Administrator to verify contractor approvals for outside service work. Material Staging and Tracking: Stage required materials, confirm service provider availability, and track delivery progress, expediting as necessary. Warehouse Management: Support material protection, perform kitting processes, and maintain good housekeeping and safe practices in the Warehouse Kitting area. Emergency and Shipping Support: Handle emergency requisitioning, including after hours, and support shipping needs related to the Repair and Return process. Documentation and Communication: Update material status in SAP, communicate updates to relevant stakeholders, and manage the re-stocking of unused kitted materials.
Skills That Make a Difference:
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school. 3years of experience within an industrial plant in a maintenance or reliability role. Knowledge of SAP/CMMS requisition system and store inventory master systems. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to successfully interface with various stakeholders (procurement, work coordinators, maintenance planners, stores/warehouse, suppliers etc.). Detailed knowledge of maintenance work process (planning, scheduling, logistics, etc.). Demonstrates good organizational techniques to deal with the large volume of work, the complexity of some jobs, and the limited resources available during some periods. Good computer skills and experience with MS Office and Outlook programs.
Considered a Plus:
Experience and knowledge with mechanical, process, instrumentation and electrical hardware, identification, and their uses. Experience in SAP S4/Hana, specifically related to the PM and Inventory modules, Purchase Requisitions, and Purchase Orders.
Working Conditions:
Requires use of appropriate PPE, Personal Protective Equipment, to fulfill safety requirements Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment and occasionally outdoors in inclement weather. Willing/able to work off hours/weekends, as required.
