Material Distribution Specialist – Technical Glass Products – Snoqualmie, WA
Allegion is seeking a Material Distribution Specialist to fulfill a full-time position in Snoqualmie, WA at our Technical Glass Products facility. The Material Distribution Specialist will work independently to ensure the continuous flow of materials to manufacturing. Additional responsibilities will include physical and administrative tasks involving receipt and visual inspection of incoming material, inventory control, labeling, storing and distributing materials, parts and supplies. The successful candidate must be efficient, organized, responsible and resourceful with a committed ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6 am – 2:30 pm, 40 hours per week required, with opportunity for overtime.
What You Will Do:
Assist and support the Supply Chain Team by Planning For Every Part; PFEPPick and stage inventory against “Pick Lists”Accountable for accurate inventory counts, inventory locations and inventory related management functionsResearch and resolve material related problemsCommunicate, monitor and expedite shortagesPerform timely and accurate data entry to allocate inventory against Pick Lists and other usageUnpack, label and stock materials and consumables in accordance to storage requirementsPrint part labels, Pick Lists and BOM (Bill of Materials) and other key documentsComplete all necessary documentation pertaining to inventory movement and transactionsMonitor and replenish multiple Kanban bins on production floorMaintain stockroom in an organized fashionIdentify and put away parts to correct stocking locationsParticipate in implementing strategic plans for process improvementAssist in the development and implementation of short and long-range plans relating to inventory managementOffload material from containers, trucks and or other vehicles and move to appropriate locations for further processingMaintain work areas according to 5S principles on a daily basisFulfill assigned specific daily and weekly job assignments as outlined by supervisor that meet departmental and company goalsOther duties as assignedWhat You Need to Succeed:
2+ years of experience in material distribution, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing.Forklift experience required, forklift certification preferredDemonstrated computer experience in Microsoft Office applications and Material Resource Planning / Enterprise Resource Planning type systemsExcellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional ‘can do’ attitudeStrong organizational skills with close attention to detail and prioritizing multiple tasks along with meeting deadlinesConsistently demonstrate independent judgment and initiative; driven self-started dedicated to continuous process improvementDetail-oriented, accurate, dependable and willing to accept a wide variety of assignmentsKnowledge/Experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools requiredExperience with MRP systems and processing inventory transactionsComfortable operating a forklift for moving inventoryStrong computer skills and ability to learn new software quicklyAbility to read, analyze and interpret inventory data and reportsGood verbal and written communication skillsStrong math skillsFollow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderlyWorking Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly in an environment where heavy work is required and where moderate to loud noise occurs. The employee is in an assembly plant/warehouse environment that can be dusty. May be working around welding operations. Overhead work may be required. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 pounds) and occasionally lift and move very heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the work day. Production aids such as tilting assembly tables, overhead cranes and forklifts can be used for these tasks. Personal protective equipment will be required and provided. In addition, the individual in this job will be working under time pressure and must be able to perform under stress. They must be able to work rapidly for long periods and to communicate and interact with others. They also must be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks, read and comprehend the material they read. The employee must be able to write, and problem solve. 40+ hours per week will typically be necessary to accomplish performance objectives and to provide satisfactory job presence and/or responsiveness.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experiences.
The expected Base Hourly Range: $18.17 - $30.24. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
