**Description** PCSI is looking for a Material Expediter at its Detroit Arsenal Site. We seek a motivated, friendly team member to engage vendors and execute purchases to support our in-house facility maintenance team. The right person will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask. This position will report to the Supply Manager at Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI. **SHIFT: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday – Friday** **Rate of pay:** $30.91 per hour, plus $5.95 for health and welfare (union position) with annual increases **Who Are We:** PCSI is a non-profit organization and federal contractor that provides support services to hospitals, military bases, and private-sector clients throughout the United States. We operate under AbilityOne—a federal initiative for employing people with disabilities—and serving people of all abilities in their career development journey is at the heart of what we do. **Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.** **What You'll Do as a Material Expediter:** + Utilizes documents and spread sheets, to determine materials requirements or priorities such as: + Purchase requests + Vendor quotes + Purchase Order Log + Site Scheduling Matrix + Invoices Tracking and Payment + Work Orders + Inventory Reports + Work with vendors to prepare cost estimates through email, phone calls and online research + Orders material, inventory stock, equipment, tools, schedule/track rentals, and other general items; also filling orders or issues supplies from stock + Inspection of received materials for accuracy and condition assessment. + Administrative and organizational responsibilities to include: + Sortly (property management software): + Materials Inventory (FIFO) + Property Inventory (Tools & Equipment) + Product or Material information + Reports such as usage history, inventory transactions, spoilage, or damage to stock + Records: + Purchasing packets + Inventory transactions + Hazmat label requests + Performs inventory cycle counts, and report findings to Supply Manager + Answer incoming calls, schedule pickups, deliveries, or distribution of supplies, and provide status information to expedite the flow of materials and meet production schedules + Locates and distributes materials to specified production areas, and technicians manually or using a handcart, hand truck, or forklift + Follows procedures for maintaining high standards of quality and reliability of the company inventory system + Ability to operate a vehicle onsite and offsite to pick up materials and deliver to various locations.
