Summary

The Materials Expeditor will be responsible transporting equipment assembly pieces around the production site. Position will be working with aerial, construction equipment, and heavy & light duty trucks. He/she must be willing to learn and having a strong attendance record. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Load, unload, store, and distribute company material and equipment. Inspect incoming material for damage. Move material to designated storage area. Ensure material is properly and safely stored to prevent spoilage or waste. Distribute material to appropriate departments. Assist in inventory taking. Cleaning up shop and keeping inventoryFilling and preparing customer orders for shipment.  Operating heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, and processing machinery.Performing other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

Ability to work 1st or 2nd Shift.Excellent attendance.Positive attitude and works in collaboration with other CTOS team members to get projects complete.Attention to detail and quality standards to get it done right the first time.Understanding and reading of blueprints preferred. Possess knowledge of and ability to identify fabrication industry metals.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to work well with team members.Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continual improvement.

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Have a current Driver’s License.Have good and reliable transportation.Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing and vision protection, steel-toed shoes/boots and other appropriate protective clothing.

Working Conditions

Majority of work is performed in a shop and outsideMust be able to work while exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or other fumesMust be able to work overtime as needed

 

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42”, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout a 10-hour day, and up to 50 hours per weekMust be able to safely operate carts, forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment of such natureAbility to walk and stand on concrete and/or uneven surfaces for at least 10 hours per day
