The Material Handler 3 is responsible for training all new hires on distribution procedures, with an emphasis on warehouse equipment operation, standard operating procedures, and proper paperwork handling. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to the fulfillment and shipment of products within the warehouse.  

This position reports to the Distribution Supervisor and is based out of our Olathe, Kansas location.  

As the Material Handler 3, you will have an opportunity to:

Operate forklift equipment (various types)Provide best in class equipment training for our warehouse associates – new hires, recertification and post-accidentConduct new hire Safety TrainingMaintain and update training files for all warehouse associates as well as assisting with driver related documentationReceive and process product into warehousePick and pack product to fulfill ordersPrepare product for shipmentAssist with other projects as requiredOther duties as required

You have:

1+ years of related experienceMust be forklift certified; or willing to become forklift certifiedWorking knowledge of RF gunBasic understanding of a Distribution CenterGood reading and comprehensive skills to read orders, bills of lading, etc.Strong interpersonal skillsBasic Computer skillsBasic understanding of sound safety practices and good housekeeping requirementsBilingual (Spanish Preferred)

Abilities:

Standing, lifting, walking, kneeling, and bending for extended periods of time; regularly will be required to lift up to 50 poundsPerform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, hands and legs. Moving of whole body to lift, reach, grasp, balance, and stoop when handling warehouse materials for an extended period and/or an entire work shift.Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception

Environment: Exposure to noise, dust, and climate changes

Hours: Monday- Thursday (4:30pm- 3am)

Compensation: $21.30/hr.

Pay Range:

Starting Hourly Rate: $21.30

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
