**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
As a Material Handler, you will play an essential role in the logistics and shipping process within our manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for unloading fabricated products, processing paperwork for shipments, organizing orders, applying shipping labels, and staging products for dispatch. Additionally, you will assist with receiving, use forklifts to move goods, and maintain inventory of shipping materials.
**Responsibilities**
+ Unload fabricated products from paint carts.
+ Receive paperwork from the office for future shipments.
+ Process paperwork according to products received from the assembly department.
+ Organize incomplete orders in the shipping area.
+ Apply appropriate shipping labels and/or packing lists.
+ Stage products in the proper area for shipping.
+ Assist with receiving as needed.
+ Perform banding/wrapping duties.
+ Use the ERP system daily.
+ Track internal movements of late or soon-to-be-late orders.
+ Utilize forklifts to move finished goods as needed.
+ Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Supply Chain Department.
+ Help maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
+ Use a forklift to transport products.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in inventory management and shipping/receiving processes.
+ Experience with logistics and data entry.
+ Strong skills in Microsoft Office and SAP.
+ Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, assemble, and carry for extended periods.
+ Capability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ GED or High School Diploma.
+ 1 year of experience in the shipping area of a manufacturing/metal fabrication company.
+ Experience with power tools and forklifts.
+ Strong computer knowledge.
+ Attention to detail is essential.
+ Ability to work 10-hour days.
+ Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a manufacturing setting that can have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease. Conditions may be hot during the summer months, and employees must be adaptable to work in environments that can be hot, cold, or humid. Shifts are structured as follows: 1st shift from 5am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, with variable hours on Fridays. 2nd shift runs from 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday to Thursday, with extended hours on Fridays. Employees must be willing to work during these hours.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Beloit, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
