ResponsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY:
This role oversees all material stock levels on the entire production floor.
JOB DUTIES:
Documents receipt of raw materials and submits all corresponding paperwork to the shipping office.Unloads and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site; Supplies production lines with the raw materials as needed.Inspects forklift for safety prior to operation on each shift.Store raw materials in designated bins in raw material warehouse. Stack pallets neatly with labels visible.Responsible to maintaining all process equipment. Responsible for cleaning filters on production lines.Organizes bans and stacks empty gay lords and pallets. Coordinate with the shipping supervisor on the disposition of this product.Gathers all scrap plastic and loads on scrap plastic truck.Maintain loading lines to hoppers / vacuum pumpsTroubleshooting machinery to correct issues as requiredEnsure housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility is safe, clean, and free of materials QualificationsREQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates’ will have 1 to 2-years’ material handling experience in a fast-paced production environment; Successful completion of lift truck/forklift certification program preferred.Ability to perform simple calculations and apply good mathematical reasoningBasic computer skills required.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.Pactiv Evergreen is now a part of Novolex. Conyers is an Atlanta suburb and the only city in Rockdale County, Georgia. The city is 24 miles east of downtown Atlanta and is a part of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 15,195. The city is the county seat of Rockdale County.
The plant was acquired by Pactiv in 2003, manufactures PET and Polypropylene Lids & ESL Trays, and has approximately 180 employees. The Conyers plant was awarded Pactiv safety plant of the year 2018, Foodservice BU Environmental plant of the year 2019.
