Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** : + Performs shipping, receiving, storage, picking, checking, and loading duties following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as well as Machine Operating Procedures (MOP). + Performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances. + Operates various warehouse equipment including but not limited to sit-down forklift, stock picker and RF scanners. + Maintains equipment, includes performing safety checks. + Complies with all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to the Team Leader or appropriate resource. + Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area. + Notifies the Team Leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc. + Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met. + Ensures that all work meets nVent’s quality specifications. **QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SPECIFICATIONS:** + Minimum 2 years of warehouse work experience required. + Minimum 2 years of forklift and stock picker experience required. + Computer knowledge necessary, Excel, Word, Outlook, JD Edwards, and Internet. + Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including but not limited to: UPS WorldShip, Fed-Ex, Ship Manager and LTL shipping procedures. + Ability to operate equipment necessary to position. i.e. Forklifts, stock picker, RF scanner, shrink wrapper, bander, battery charger, dock levers. + Knowledge of, and ability to promote, compliance with safety policies and procedures. + Skill in analytical thinking and problem-solving. + Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and written. + Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment. + Ability to function and maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure work environment. **Additional Requirements:** + Our Warwick, RI facility is an ITAR-controlled site. The Manufacturing Material Handler performs various warehouse duties, including packing and shipping of customer orders, maintaining inventory levels, and use and operation of warehouse tools to locate, store and transport material used in the manufacturing process.
