We are looking to add a Material Handler to our team. If you are great at what you do, enjoy working in a startup environment, and are passionate about supporting manufacturing, repair, and rework for an exciting product line of satellite communications equipment, we would like to hear from you.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution. Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area. Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Locate and packs materials for shipping. Document materials and records units delivered and location of units. Receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities. Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. Document product shipment by recording units shipped. Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. Operate pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks. Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean. Open containers, sort, and catalog materials. Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 2 years of experience working as a material handler. High school diploma or GED.Adept at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously. Proficient with prioritizing tasks and meeting multiple deadlines. Excellent time management and organizational skills.Process improvement mindset.Knowledge of inventory control. Ability to lift heavy materials.Data entry skills and the ability to read and analyze information.PREFERRED EXPERIENCEPrevious stock or inventory experience a plus.Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus.CesiumAstro considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
