Material Handler

Start your new career as a Warehouse Material Handler with MAU at SHL Medical in North Charleston, SC. As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of materials within the facility and operating material handling equipment. (This is a 60 to 90-Day assignment).


What We Offer $20.00 per hour with a $2 shift differential 1st Shift, 7 AM – 7 PM 3rd Shift, 7 PM – 7 AM 2-2-3 Work model Overtime and weekends as needed Health benefits, including telehealth medical services Referral program for extra incentives What We’re Looking For High School Diploma/ GED (required) College Degree (preferred but not required) Forklift driving experience is essential Previous experience operating material movement equipment Knowledge of warehouse and inventory concepts in a distribution setting (preferred) Experience in a highly regulated industry such as medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, etc. Computer literacy – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, SAP Effective written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to handle materials up to 50 pounds and operate equipment throughout the facility Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours Corrected vision to 20/30 for equipment operation Comfortable working at elevated heights Willingness to work with odorous or hazardous materials; may require the use of protective gear Ability to work in noisy environments while wearing hearing protection Ability to attain clean room gowning certification and handle hazardous materials safely Frequent bending, stooping, and working overhead Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation with flexible availability Ability to stand and walk for a considerable amount of time, to bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, and twist What You’ll Do as a Warehouse Material Handler Maintain Process Driven movement with strict adherence to safety and process procedures Store materials as designated by Warehouse, Quality, and Operations Unload deliveries at Shipping & Receiving areas Use scanning systems to accurately record transactions Keep the Warehouse clean, organized, and operational at all times Handle tasks such as Picking & Staging, Loading & Unloading racks & trucks, Put-Aways, Inventory Control, and Cycle counts Adapt quickly to new tasks or processes as needed Operate warehouse equipment with proficiency Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment Other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations
