The Material Handler is responsible for efficiently managing the flow of materials, products, and paperwork within the  manufacturing environment. This includes calling freight carriers, checking shipping and receiving paperwork, moving products, and packing them for shipment. The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and timely shipments.


Key Responsibilities:

Calling Freight Carriers:
Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely shipments of products.

Checking Shipping/Receiving Paperwork:
Review and verify accuracy of shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and purchase orders.

Moving Products:
Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools to move products throughout the facility.

Packing Products:
Prepare products for shipping by packing them securely, ensuring compliance with company and customer packaging standards.

Inventory Control:
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by regularly updating system entries related to material movement, shipping, and receiving.

Quality Inspection:
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues to supervisors.

Communication:
Maintain clear communication with the logistics team, warehouse personnel, and external freight carriers to ensure efficient flow of products.

Qualifications:
