MATERIAL HANDLER

Material Handler, working under supervision operates lifting equipment requiring specialized trade certification

Roles & Responsibilities: 

SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

QUALITY

Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford’s Management System Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement

 OPERATIONS

Daily check of lifting equipment (overhead crane, jib cranes, forklifts, slings) loading and unloading of equipment from trucks, etc  Manual handling of equipment if necessary  The folding of equipment and their movement in the storage or workshops  Installs and replaces removable load grip devices and mechanisms  Pre-orders fuel, lubricant, spare parts  Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these  Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.  Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.  Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

COMMUNICATION

Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports

 FINANCIAL

All employees have an accountability to the organization to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

 PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT

Employees have a responsibility for developing their own careers within the Company including completing all necessary function, compliance & business standards training to enhance their knowledge, skills and experience Employees should engage on a regular basis with their line manager to discuss their personal performance, objectives and opportunities to enhance their skills and experience to support their career potential Supervisors are expected to actively engaging their employees to support talent management through Weatherford’s performance management process, including but not limited to talent assessments, succession planning & regular coaching opportunities Supervisors should collaborate with Human Resources & Training Development to drive strategies for the recruitment & retention of key personal & to foster an environment that supports the attraction & retention of a high performing talented workforce

Experience & Education

 REQUIRED

Minimally 2-4+ years related experience  Ability to operate hand tools, forklift, cranes and other lifting and securing devices.  Basic mathematical and measurement computations.  High school diploma Valid state motor vehicle operator license and license for forklift truck. 

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 REQUIRED

Customer focused. General understanding of products and their application.  Individual must be adaptive to change, have multi-tasking ability.  Ability to work in a team environment.  Should be able to work closely with all levels of personnel and outside contractors.

Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to:  <10%
