Job Summary

Manually unloading shipments by hand or utilizing a pallet jackMoving and storing materials within the warehouse

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Help with proper material flow from receipt to storage or transferAccurately placard incoming inventory Manually unload inbound material and palletize for storage or transferAssist quality control with segregating or inspecting materials upon directionMaintain area neatness and conformance to policies and procedures Help with repair of damaged cases from incoming shipments as well as other departments. Break master cases into smaller case packs and repalletizeMaintain clean work area free from trash, empty boxes, empty pallets and partial or broken cases

Qualifications and Experience

Educational attainment equivalent to high school graduationWork experience of manually unloading trucks within 2 years

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Knowledge of material storage practices, including hazardous substances inventory storage, raw material and internal transfer storage and disposition proceduresKnowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulationsKnowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation proceduresAbility to organize and maintain raw materials and dry goods in proper stored conditionAbility to understand and follow oral or written instructionsAbility to maintain basic work logsAbility to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers

Hiring Range: $17.50
