Material Handler

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Material Handler. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The rate for this position is $21.26 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Operate a forklift to move raw materials, components, supplies & finished goods.
•    Load and unload trailers as required.
•    Organize pallet area in the backyard on regular basis.
•    Organize material storage location in backyard and inside the building on a regular basis.
•    Complete forklift inspection on a daily basis.
•    Primary owner for recycling duties for assigned area (i.e., emptying cardboard bins to the cardboard baler on a daily basis, operating cardboard baler, etc.).
•    Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
•    Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
•    Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
 

Qualifications:

•    Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
•    No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. 

•    Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice.

Skills:

Physical Requirements:
•    Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
•    Able to regularly lift 35 pounds with or without accommodation. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance.
•    Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
