From endlessly recyclable aluminum cans, and cups, to aerosol bottles, our goal is to contribute to a better community, society, and world.** **Position Overview:** As a **_Material Handler_** , youre a member of an assigned production crew, reporting to the Plant Warehouse Supervisor. You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility. The Glendale plant is high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 4 days on 4 days off, rotating from days to nights every 32 days (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) **Your Key Responsibilities Include:** + Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc. + Operate forklift and coordinate products including raw materials, scrap, finished goods, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies. + Effectively communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, and customers. + Inspect aluminium for proper quality standards and customer specifications. + Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, + communicating, and upholding ethical integrity. **Required Experience & Skills:** + High School Diploma or education equivalent. + 1 year of work experience in an industrial environment. **Preferred Experience & Skills:** + 3 or more years of operation and maintenance of forklift. + Working knowledge of proper hazardous waste management. + Experience using JD Edwards, AS900, or similar warehouse or ERP system. **Physical Environment & Working Conditions:** + May be subject to all of the following, but not limited to: + Hot/Cold working conditions. + Loud /Noisy environment. + Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. + Climbing (stairs, catwalks, and other equipment as necessary). **_The preceding position description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this position.
