Position Summary
Perform all the material handling responsibilities between the Printing and Finishing Departments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Work with printing and finishing teams to follow their schedules in order to meet all material handling responsibilities.
Stage loads from press finish lines.
Pallet management to include pallet removal and placement for palletizing.
Stretch-wrap loads to prepare for shipment.
Corrugate at packing end of gluers.
Palletize and wrap the roll cores for transportation.
Load roll cores on scrap trailer.
Dispose of printed waste once the teams have documented the waste.
Help teams keep area neat and clean: sweep, re-pile pallets, fix broken pallets, etc.
Complete daily forklift maintenance and communicate problems to warehouse crew.
Take window’s loads over to appropriate finishing lines.
Weekend responsibility to remove bales.
Notify warehouse when dumpster is full.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Certification to operate a forklift in a safe and proper manner.
Ability to work well with little direct supervision.
Mechanically inclined
Have good organizational skills.
Able to train other people how to do your job.
Be able to follow procedures.
Must be self-motivated.
Education and Experience
High School/GED diploma
Read, write, and understand English.
Working knowledge of basic math
Basic computer knowledge
Working Conditions
Ability to climb into/out of forklifts, clamp trucks, etc. as required by job duties.
Ability to lift 60 lbs.
Be willing and able to work any shift and overtime when needed.
