Maverick Pipe, a partner of Zekelman, is seeking a Material Handler for it's Rantoul, IL location.  

 

This position is responsible for working as part of a team in the moving of materials in and out of the facility in a safe, timely and efficient manner focusing on meeting the needs of both internal and external customers 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy. Stages and loads finished goods on to trucks (40%) Issues raw materials to production and support their needs. (20%) Scan finished goods with barcode scanner, verifying all information. (25%) Performs cycle counts. (5%) Assists with various production operations as needed. (15%)  Willing to cross train and work with other team members as needed. 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 2 years' experience driving electric and/or propane forklifts; forklift certification preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
