Material Handler
We are looking for an experienced Material Handler. This position is on 1st shift in Jackson, MI. In this position, you will be responsible for safely moving materials and products throughout the facility, utilizing both forklifts and overhead cranes.

Temp-to-Hire position$17.00 /hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday)1st shift Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm & Friday 6:00am-2:30pmReceiving 12’ steel bars from inbound Truck to stock locations and machine per job as required using OVERHEAD CRANE.Properly stocking material with inventory tags from stock and at machines.Label steel with Inventory tags.Operating Inter-Source Chip Spinning Machine for Spinning chip shavings.Empty Trash in factory as needed.Janitorial duties as requested. Using floor scrubber, mops, and broom.Seasonal- Keeping the sidewalks and dock area solved and salted.Material Handler Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.Math skills: use of measuring devices (Tape Measure and calipers) recognize fractions and decimals for sizing of steel bars.Building Maintenance Skills Will be lifting 40lbs occasionally.Applicant may be subject to a background check*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
