Material Handler

We have an outstanding Contract position for aMaterial Handler to join a leading Company located in theMarysville, WA surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
The duties of this job are to ensure that all of the materials used in the production of panels are controlled, verified and delivered to the production team in a timely manner as to support on time delivery to our plan dates. Material handlers are also responsible for the department hazardous waste control and disposition.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Verify, withdraw and deliver materials to the production line in a timely manner to support the production schedule board.
+ Ensure that materials are FIFO, track exposure units on temperature sensitive materials.
+ Must be able to ensure accurate inventory for the department.
+ Perform cycle counting of highly used materials.
+ Other duties include receiving and storing production materials, palletizing materials or product , etc ..
+ Handle the disposal of hazardous waste materials for the department.
+ Forklift operation is required (training provided).
+ May be required to be a certified forklift trainer.
+ Active participation in operational improvement activities.
+ Willing to cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.
+ Other task as needed and flexibility is key.
+ Willing to work overtime as needed. This may include weekends.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum 2 years of relevant material handling experience.
+ Safely and effectively operate a forklift (training provided).
+ Lift 50 + pounds frequently throughout the shift.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Steady work history is preferred, manufacturing a plus.
+ Prior inventory control experience a plus.
+ Understand and follow procedures/practices.
+ Be flexible and able to react quickly to changing situations.
+ Able to learn and effectively apply all requirements established by the quality assurance team.
+ Have a sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.
+ Good basic math skills.
+ Good reading comprehension to follow work orders.
+ Legible handwriting/printing.
+ Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
