Schedule: 2nd Shift 4:30pm to 3:30am, Monday - Friday, with rotating for Saturday work based on production schedule.

Work Location: 1325 Chase Ave, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007

Benefits: Based on Union Contract Provisions

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: 2nd shift: $20.71 per hour, plus $0.25 shift differential.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Ability to communicate effectively with management,fellow employees and truck drivers.Ability to Operate a Forklift and pass training testsMust follow OSHA forklift rules and fill out daily inspection formReading, writing and perform math skillsResponsible for keeping the warehouse and shipping/receiving docks clean and clear of debris, and sweep when neededMust also keep forklift clean and in sanitary condition.Able to work overtimeResponsible for sampling raw materials and record the temperaturesAble to load and unload Trailers and perform trailer inspectionsResponsible for delivering materials to batch makers or pack lines as neededMust be able to read production schedules and understandrun sequence and materials required for each batch or pack runMust understand first in and first out (FIFO)usage of raw materialsand proper recording of lot numbersMust understand allergen controls and separation according to policyAble to perform other tasks as neededAble to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Education and / or Experience

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

Language Skills, Ability to read, write and interpret documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.

Use forklift (sit-down / counter-balanced) and other material handling equipment to pick, stage, load, or receive goods.

Maintain industry leading quality and customer service standards. 

Assist physical inventory of the warehouse.  Perform cycle counts as needed.

Piece-pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipment.

Inspect and perform light maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment.  Identify safety hazards and prepare work orders to correct issues

Perform routine sanitation of warehouse areas.  Restack broken pallets and remove damages.

Consolidate partial pallets and clear bays for incoming goods and materials

Support other departments to insure efficient operation of the business
