We have an outstanding Contract position for a Material Handler to join a leading Company located in the Marysville, WA surrounding area.
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
The duties of this job are to ensure that all of the materials used in the production of panels are controlled, verified and delivered to the production team in a timely manner as to support on time delivery to our plan dates. Material handlers are also responsible for the department hazardous waste control and disposition.
Job Responsibilities: Verify, withdraw and deliver materials to the production line in a timely manner to support the production schedule board.Ensure that materials are FIFO, track exposure units on temperature sensitive materials.Must be able to ensure accurate inventory for the department.Perform cycle counting of highly used materials.Other duties include receiving and storing production materials, palletizing materials or product, etc..Handle the disposal of hazardous waste materials for the department.Forklift operation is required (training provided).May be required to be a certified forklift trainer. Active participation in operational improvement activities.Willing to cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.Other task as needed and flexibility is key.Willing to work overtime as needed. This may include weekends.
Basic Hiring Criteria:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 2 years of relevant material handling experience.Safely and effectively operate a forklift (training provided).Lift 50 + pounds frequently throughout the shift.
Desired Qualifications:Steady work history is preferred, manufacturing a plus.Prior inventory control experience a plus.Understand and follow procedures/practices.Be flexible and able to react quickly to changing situations.Able to learn and effectively apply all requirements established by the quality assurance team. Have a sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.Good basic math skills.Good reading comprehension to follow work orders.Legible handwriting/printing.Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
