Purpose of Role: Under the supervision of the Distribution Manager, the Shipping Distribution Person ‘B’ is responsible for performing various duties connected with the shipment of finished product using sound packaging techniques. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Key Responsibilities:
Operate and Manage Equipment: Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, powered industrial trucks, or overhead jib cranes while adhering to safety practices and preventing damage.
Handle Shipping Documentation: Accurately complete all paperwork and data entry related to shipping, including pulling, printing, and processing packing slips from the computer system.
Prepare and Pack Shipments: Properly prepare products for shipment based on their packaging needs and customer requirements, including proper strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage during transit.
Maintain Inventory and Equipment: Monitor packing material inventory, maintain equipment, and ensure cleanliness and safety of work areas. Prepare purchase requisitions as needed.
Compliance and Team Coordination: Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, attend required meetings, follow departmental and company policies, and promote a cooperative and customer-focused attitude.

Job Knowledge/ Education and Qualifications:
Education in High school diploma or GED required.
Six months of shipping experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
Preferred experience with industrial powered trucks, including forklifts, Raymond trucks, and yard cranes.
Ability to operate various equipment and tools related to shipping, such as carpentry tools, hand tools, overhead cranes, and pneumatic tools, safely and efficiently.
Ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as computer and job-related software (Microsoft Office & Outlook), SAP, telephone, fax, photocopier, etc.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Licensed in forklift, Crown, and Overhead Crane.
